Another training race is right around the corner
I'll be preriding part of the Vision Quest course this weekend with friends. It hasn't rained much here in SoCal so I probably don't have to practice the following technique (demonstrated by my good friend and former training partner, Shaun) when crossing streams.

The Vision Quest sounds awesome, it's got the stats of one of my favorite training rides. Too bad it's full, it's only what - 6 hours from Phx?

Frickin'socal'ers. Endurance races are like 7/11's. There on every corner.
Yeah it's about 6hrs and change from Phx. It's a nice one. Last year's event reminded my of day 1 of La Ruta (only a little colder and shorter) with plenty of mud and stream crossings. Anyway, it sells out every year. I highly recommend it.
