Carnage at the Cape II

I mentioned all the carnage at the Cape Epic in a previous post. So why do I think there was so much of it? There was so many crashes and injuries because the South African riders aren't very good technical riders. Even the European riders thought the locals were pretty crappy! [For the folks that haven't seen very many Euro riders in a race or haven't raced in Europe, the Euro rides aren't very good at technical riding at all. So you know how bad the SA rider must be for them to say that!] Unfortunately, most of the land in South Africa is private property so there isn't much besides gravel road and pavement for training rides. What we'd consider average trail was "ABSOLUTELY AWESOME" single track for them. Of course not all the crashes were due to lack of skills. Some were due to bad timing, towing...

Mario,
I'm looking forward to your in depth analyses on the towing pro's and cons.

I'm working on it. I don't know how in depth it'll be but it'll pick up where the previous towing post left off.
