Something Different at the 24 Hour Nationals
Thanks to so many people this race was one of the smoothest I've ever had. The only issues I had were a busted cleat and a slightly chipped tooth. =)
Thanks to Scott and Justin from Sho-air our bikes and gear were shipped to and from Wisconsin with ease. That makes traveling more fun.
Thanks to our host families in Wisconsin we were able to take it easy and relax before the race. Pam, Matt's aunt, let us use her house as a base of operations and she had an excellent dinner waiting for us upon arrival. Donna, Craig, Doris and Dillon welcomed us into their homes which were only minutes away from the venue.
Pam, in blue, is an excellent host and perhaps the competition next year.
More of our host family: Dillon, Matt, Donna, Doris and Craig
Thanks to Ron Sawicki for giving Bern and I a crash course in Magura brake maintenance. Thanks for the new rotor too! Congrats to Pua for winning the solo women's title!!
Thanks to Shawn and all the great guys from Stadium Bike for allowing us to pit with them. Shawn kept our bikes in good working condition between laps and was always asking if we needed anything.
Thanks to our awesome support crew, Matt and Jenna, for taking care of us during the race.
Matt and Jenna having a little fun before the race
Thanks to Lynda for the excellent workouts leading up to the race, my legs felt great the whole time.
Thanks to Bern for agreeing to team up with me. You ROCK! (Check out her race report.)
I couldn't have asked for more from this team.
Thanks to everyone at Sho-air, Rock N' Road Cyclery and all our sponsors for making this race possible.
Special thanks to Michael Folan at Infinit Nutrition, the drink mixes worked great!!

Thanks for the experience Mario, it was great to work with you and watch you put the hammer down lap after lap! Congrats and take care, see you down the trail sometime.
Hi sorry to hijack this post, but I'm not sure it how works to contact you otherwise. Earlier in the year I spotted a link to the ironbike Italy on here. I entered, what a fanastic race! Thanks for the tip :-)
